The form contains general program settings. To open the form, click on the Settings button located in the header of the main program window.
General tab
General
Interface language – the language of the program’s interface. When the language is changed, the program will have to be restarted.
Notifications and SMTP
Enable email notifications – the switch activates the delivery of email notifications. When the feature is enabled, a notifications configuration wizard form is shown.
Email recipients – email addresses of notification recipients.
Use for sending – a link with the type of the SMTP account used for sending messages. Possible values: Predefined account and User account. Clicking it will open the notifications configuration wizard.
Maintenance log
Delete records older than – the maintenance log storage period in months. Outdated records are deleted automatically.
Connections tab
In this tab you can control all your shared or local folders connections. You can add, delete or edit connections.
Update tab
Current version – the number and date of the installed version of QMB. Click the Check for an update link to check for a newer version of the program on its official website.
Supported till – the last day of the support period. If you are using a commercial license, you can install any updates released before this date. If you registered servers of the Express edition only, without an installed QMB license, the value will be <Unknown>.
Notify me about new versions by email – checks for new versions of the program automatically.
Check for updates at program start – checks for new program versions each time the client (Qmb.exe) is started.
Other tab
Update information about free disk space on SQL servers – this option helps disable/enable the monitoring of free disk space on all registered SQL servers (requires a commercial QMB license). Click the schedule link to change the check interval. By default, it is monitored every 10 minutes from 1 AM till 11 PM.
Low disk space notifications are only available for SQL servers with a commercial QMB license installed. |
Update stored QMB procedures on SQL servers – when the button is clicked, the program updates several stored procedures used by QMB.
QMB stored procedures are installed in the master database. |
Refresh QMB Licenses - the command gets information from the activation server and updates it in the QMB licenses. Updating the information is required after a license upgrade or a renewal of support. A QMB license can also be refreshed by Deactivating or Activating it again.
