When you start the program for the first time, a wizard will open that will help configure notifications, register an SQL server and set up a maintenance policy. The wizard includes the following steps:

1. Configuration of an SMTP account for sending email notifications
2. SQL server registration
   • Entering SQL server connection parameters
   • Configuring the monitoring of free disk space on the SQL server
3. Maintenance policy configuration
   • Selecting a policy template
   • Selection of maintained databases
   • Configuring backup creation, coping and storage
   • Viewing and editing QMB Jobs (modifying tasks and the schedule)
   • Selecting databases for creating full backups
   • Switching databases to the recovery model defined in a template and creating their full backups
   • Entering the maintenance policy's name and comments
